Waterbury Arc

The Waterbury Arc, Inc., was founded in 1950 by a group of concerned parents who wanted appropriate educational and vocational services for their children with what was then called mental retardation. In 1952 the group was incorporated as the Parents and Friends of Retarded Children, and is now simply The Waterbury Arc or WARC. The association encourages individuals with intellectual disabilities to reach their full potential by providing support services and innovative programs.

WARC is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors representing parents, advocates, consumers, and professional, business and community leaders.

The Waterbury Arc is constantly looking to add new and needed services and programs, while expanding to serve individuals with intellectual disabilities in neighboring towns.
