The State We're In VODCAST

How many times have you heard the State’s budget woes blamed for cuts to I/DD services?  As the parent of a 27 year old young man with I/DD and the president of the Arc of Connecticut Board of Directors, I know I have.

These videos will look at how the State currently spends its money, the consequences of that spending, and how we could do things better in the future. I hope to give you the information you need to join The Arc Connecticut in our efforts to advocate for a better, more accessible system of supports for your family and your loved ones with I/DD.

Because while it is true there is a budget crisis, it is also true that when Connecticut abandons the inefficient, unsustainable status quo and realign its priorities,  many more people will be served.

Please remember to sign up for information and action alerts from The Arc of Connecticut to get the best most up to date information on how to advocate for your loved ones with I/DD.

Best,
