The Arc Connecticut’s has created a Coordinated Transportation Information and Resource Website for individuals with disabilities, senior citizens, their family members, caregivers, and providers called: TransitNet. In order to inform the public and briefly demonstrate the features of the website there will be a launch event on Thursday, October 23. It will be held at Beth El Temple in West Hartford (2626 Albany Ave.) from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.; registration is from 11:30 - Noon, and lunch and dessert will be provided.

Joining us will be special guest and speaker Rachel Simon, advocate and author of Riding The Bus With My Sister. A short program will begin at 12:15 p.m., which will be followed by a book signing with Rachel. Copies of Riding the Bus with My Sister will be available for sale (check and cash only).

You MUST RSVP for this event by October 10, at transitnetct@gmail.com or call 860.381.0514. The first 50 people to RSVP will receive a signed copy of the book: Riding the Bus with My Sister.
